PROFESSOR OAK

Professor Samuel Oak is a pok'emon professor who lives and works at his research lab in Pallet town. According to Professor Elm, Oak concentrates on pok'emon and human relationships as a profession.

In the anime, he gives three starter pokemon to children(Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle) every year, except for Ash, whom he gave a Pikachu.

He is revered by many as a great pokemon researcher and was a childhood friend of Agatha. Professor Oak takes care of more than a hundred pokemon at his laboratory in Pallet town.
